What is Human Powered Play?

When children jump, swing or spin on Playnetic equipment, their movement generates sustainable electrical energy. That energy powers music, lights, games and stories, no external power needed.

Do Playnetic products need batteries or a power connection?

No. Playnetic playground equipment works without external power or batteries. You can install the products almost anywhere; the users generate the energy themselves.

Is rain a problem for Playnetic products?

No. All products are designed for the outdoors and public spaces, and are EN 1176 certified to perform for years in any climate.

Can I install my own music or content?

Yes. Several products come with a USB stick, so you can add your own .mp3 files. For game products, our service team can update the content for you.

Do Playnetic products ship worldwide?

Yes. Our playground equipment ships all over the world, and with 50+ resellers worldwide there is often a partner near you.

Can I use Playnetic technology in my own playground products?

Yes. We supply complete Human Powered component sets and share our knowledge, so manufacturers can build interactive features into their own equipment.

    What is human powered play equipment?

    Human powered play equipment is playground equipment that generates its own electricity from the movement of the people playing on it. Spinning, jumping, swinging or pushing drives a generator inside the unit, and that energy immediately powers speakers, lights and games. Because the equipment needs no external power supply, it can be installed in any public space, parks, schoolyards, town squares or holiday resorts, without excavation work or running costs. Playnetic has developed this technology in Zutphen, The Netherlands since 2007 and ships it worldwide through a network of 50+ certified resellers. All equipment is EN 1176 certified, weather resistant and built for intensive use in public spaces.
